A couple of weeks ago, I decided to run some Meta ads to see if LAZAR (our rules and on-course strategy assistant) actually clicks with golfers.
The goal? Get people to test it out and tell me if it actually works for them.
Well, in just one week, we got 20 sign-ups—not bad at all! Even Gemini —prompted as a business specialist— told me that this pretty much validates the project.
So, we keep pushing.
I’ve been learning the ropes of Meta ads—you know, the ones that pop up on your Facebook or Instagram feed.
I ran three different versions, and the winner was this one:
Now, I’m just looking for more user feedback to figure out what’s missing, what’s overkill, and what’s glitchy.
Standard stuff.
Two Saturdays ago, I took it out for a spin at Barcelona Golf. Basically, I gave myself my own feedback, haha!
It turns out that saving every query/situation might actually make sense. At first, I thought that once a doubt was cleared, you’d just move on.
But as a user, I see it differently now. You’re not going to memorize everything LAZAR tells you while you’re mid-round.
You check it quickly—like glancing at your watch or a rangefinder—and then you tuck the phone away to keep playing.
Plus, when you finish the round and you’re at the 19th hole with a cold beer, most people —myself included— want to relive a specific shot or situation to talk about it.
And share it.
Having the photo of the lie along with LAZAR’s advice (both on the rules and the strategy side) is the perfect way to do that.
The Beta/Free phase will run for a few more weeks until mid-April. That’s when we’ll close the Beta and start selling it.
But for you, it’ll be half price, of course.
