In case you didn’t know, I built a web app to help golfers with the rules and strategy.
Rules, sub-rules, clarifications, exceptions... and exceptions to the exceptions. When you’re starting out — and even when you’re not — doubts on the golf course are normal, whether it’s about strategy or the rules.
With Lazar — that’s the name of the app — you take a picture of your situation on the course, and it answers like a caddie or your golf-referee friend would.
Yes, really.
But I still need to validate whether there’s real demand for it or not. Because if there isn’t, I’m not spending more hours on it. You get me, right? That’s what the experts always say:
Validate first.
So I’ll probably spend a bit of money (around €50 or so) on Meta ads to drive traffic to Lazar’s website.
If people sign up — there’s demand. If not — there isn’t.
But that’ll be next week. This week I’m still sharing access codes; some of you already have yours.
The app is hosted on a platform called Vercel. You need to know how to upload and set it up, but once you do, they take care of everything — hosting, backups, deployments, security, CDN...
And they only charge you if things go well — meaning if you get a decent amount of traffic.
Still, when it comes to selling, that’s on you. Not even AI can save you there.
Apparently, AI hasn’t mastered the art of closing sales. But… what if it learns?
I’ll probably learn to play golf properly before that happens. 😂
Have a great weekend, golfer!
P.S.1: Lazar is live at lazar dot golf. If you want a code, hurry up — I’m closing access next week.
P.S.2: I was right last weekend — looks like good weather again this one! ☀️
