It’s not that I forgot about you.
Quite the opposite.
You’ve been so present in my mind that I’ve started building an app —to help.
To help amateur golfers who are just starting out. And those who aren’t, too.
The slogan that sums up the idea is:
“The ball on the green. The doubts in the bunker.”
Here’s how it works:
With your phone, you take a photo of your situation on the course — including your ball in its lie.
Then the app gives you a near-instant feedback on three levels:
Truth level: It tells you which golf rules apply and how to handle the situation. If you get relief, with or without penalty, how many strokes, how to proceed, etc..
Strategy level: Quick “course management” advice — options and little tricks that wouldn’t occur to you unless you were a pro.
Etiquette level: The stuff nobody tells you — how to act properly so you don’t:
- Slow down play
- Leave your bag in the wrong spot
- Mess up divots
- Or miss who should play next.
- Etc...
No need to type anything. Just a photo and an almost instant reply.
Sounds good, right?
Empowering amateur golfers — like me — with top-tier information so we don’t have to keep asking, arguing, or hesitating with that eternal: “So... what do I do now?”
Well, you take a photo — and move on.
By the way, I’ll be sharing every step of the project with you: to see if there’s real demand and if this idea actually matters to anyone…
It probably doesn’t. 😂 That’s the most likely outcome. But hey — you’ve got to do things, right?
