Spanish Women's Golf Dominance: A Summer to Remember

Written byDani Salmerón

I won’t let summer end without remembering what Spanish women’s golf achieved in July. Okay, maybe it didn’t make the front page of Golf Digest.

But it made it here — if you’re here.

If you’re not, then no. Tell your friends to sign up.

I’m especially drawn to amateur and women’s golf. There’s just… more beauty in it. Think for a second of the first male golfer that comes to your mind.

Ugly, right?

Hahaha.

Alright, focus — here’s the point: Late July, European Ladies’ Amateur Championship 2025, Frankfurter Golf Club, Germany.

Paula Martín crushes it (–23!) and wins the individual European title.

But also,

in second place and just one shot behind, Balma Dávalos, after a fierce head-to-head battle until the final hole.

But also,

in third place, one shot behind second, Andrea Revuelta.

33 countries.

144 participants.

All-Spanish podium. A photo for the history books.

But also, in the European Team Championship, the Spanish squad took the title, beating France at Golf Chantilly.

But also, the Spanish U18 women’s team claimed their tenth European title on English soil, beating Italy.

Freakin’ amazing.

Well — ovary-powering, whatever you want to call it. All I see is a roster that’s going to make headlines for years. And when you watch even just the highlights of how these girls play, you say to yourself...They should be on the front page of Golf Digest.

So yeah — I’m just happy that the future of golf in this country shines with a feminine light, in the middle of all the global darkness that fills the news these days.

May the good of golf reign over evil, and the republic over the empire, and... the empire strike back.

Oops. I got carried away — I’m a computer geek, remember?

By the way, over at bolas dot golf I’ve posted a short article to help anyone thinking of buying a putter. Hope it’s useful if you’re at that point.

Here’s the article

Golfers of every kind,

See you on the first tee.

Have a great weekend!!
