What is each calculation for?

Course Handicap

Your HI adapted to the specific course. Two courses with the same par can have very different difficulties — the CH corrects this via Slope and Course Rating.

Differential

Measures performance in a round regardless of course difficulty. Your HI = average of the best 8 differentials from your last 20 rounds.
